Autumn photos, closer than you think

Hey! How is everyone doing? I hope all is well. I have a little story to tell about seeing what you have in front of you before you journey elsewhere.

Good looking photos (exposure triangle explained)

Hey! What's going down everyone. Today I'm here to talk about the exposure triangle.
Ever wonder why your photos are coming out really grainy, too dark, too light or you just can't get that blurry background? Most of you may already know about ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, but for those who are new to photography this is for you.

One light portrait

I created this portrait with one light source, and here is how I did it.

I used one 5 ft photek soft lighter umbrella with a strobe inside.
One black foam core board for the background, and two white foam core boards on both sides of the model. I placed the light source above the model and about 1 ft away from the model, and that was it.

One light source? Yes, but multiple ways of manipulating said light source to achieve what I was looking for.
