Fashion in the snow

winter fashion
We have been getting hammered by snow storms here in the north east.
What do you do when you are a photographer?
You make the best of the situation and shoot some photos.
Make the best of what you have and have fun

Love and business

Hey everyone I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Family and business can work, as long as you have a clear understanding. My wife and I have been working together for the better half of ten years, and married for almost thirteen years.

My wife is my makeup artist, my planner, my second shooter and my main model. She is an amazing makeup artist and wig maker.

Central Park sunset photoshoot

I love sunset shoots. The golden hour (well really minutes) are so beautiful. The shoot was all natural no strobes. I knew I wanted to shoot in central park, but for some reason the day did not start out so well.

I got into central park around three, and it was an overcast day which usually would be great. This was not the case on this day. No matter what I tried I could not get the look I had envisioned. I wanted that toned down fall look. The spots I was trying did not have the right light they were too bright in one section and too dark in others. The area was right, but that was about it.

Fashion photography in harsh mid-day sun

You will hear from so many photographers that shooting in the mid-day sun is the worst. I for one do not believe that. The time of day has nothing to do with the way your photo turn out. there is good light and bad light, simple as that.

I shot these photos at freedom tower in Manhattan, NYC. No flash, just me and the sun. I used the white of the skeletal sculpture has fill light, and the sun as a key light and that's it.

I used 24-70 at 24 to distort the perspective to get the look I wanted.
When you think you have the wrong light... you just might lol. All jokes aside
all you have to do is find the good light for what it is you want to shoot and boom there you go.

Pink dress photo shoot

This photo shoot was taken at the celery farm in New Jersey. I wanted to have a real contrast between the dress and the environment, and I felt the pink and green would have a great juxtaposition.
The dress is from H and M and the slides are from Zara.

Beach photo shoot

I wanted to do something a little different with this photoshoot.
The beach is the perfect place to get out of your comfort zone.
