Spontaneous Portrait Session

I know if your like me sometimes you feel like you have nothing to shoot.

These feelings can lead to an uninspired and not so eventful day with you camera. The other morning I felt the disparate yearning to shoot some photos. Sure enough like always my mind goes to "I have nothing to shoot" but than it hit me like a tone of bricks. I have a subject right in front of me, my son.

So while my son was eating his morning breakfast I decided to have a spontaneous portrait session. I made sure to keep my distance so the photo would be as natural as possible. My son is so used to being around cameras and photos that his first instinct is to pose. I told him to just act as if i'm not even in the room, and he was able to do so.

These small out of the blue portraits sparked my creativity for the whole day. The take away is that there is always someone or something to shoot we just have to look. have a wonderful day and get shooting.
